Belfiore & Kagan is a two person shop. Staying small enables us to give our clients top quality work and our full attention every time.

We live and work in a converted barn in Woodstock, New York, about 100 miles north of New York City. Partners in life as well as in business, we were married on August 26, 2000. Our daughter, Amelie, was born on June 23, 2005.

Michael Belfiore became a full-time writer in 1995, when he landed a contract to write software manuals for the state of Minnesota. His reporting on space and technology has appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers, and he is the author of Rocketeers: How a Visionary Band of Business Leaders, Engineers, and Pilots Is Boldly Privatizing Space (Smithsonian Books, August 2007).

Wendy Kagan holds a Masters degree in English from Columbia University. She has taught writing at Columbia, and she has published magazine and newspaper articles on travel, food, gardening, and other topics that pique her interest. A certified yoga instructor, she teaches at Bliss Yoga Center in Woodstock.
